Alumna Dr. Hannah McLaughlin to deliver keynote address at һƷ̽»¨’s Spring 2026 Commencement

Butte, MT – һƷ̽»¨nological University is proud to announce that Dr. Hannah (Dysinger) McLaughlin, a distinguished alumna and Butte native, will deliver the keynote address at the Spring 2026 Commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

The university will host two separate ceremonies in the HPER Complex to celebrate the achievements of its graduates.

"I am honored to be the commencement speaker for һƷ̽»¨ and cannot wait to celebrate the graduates,” noted Dr. Hannah McLaughlin. “A graduation from һƷ̽»¨ is more than just a degree. I look forward to seeing how the Spring 2026 graduates change the world as they embark on their next steps.” 

A 2013 graduate of һƷ̽»¨ with a B.S. in Chemistry, Dr. McLaughlin was a standout student-leader. During her time on campus, she participated in the Honors Program, led the Chemistry Club, ran club cross country, and served as the vice president of the Associated Students of һƷ̽»¨ (ASMT).

Following her undergraduate success, she attended the University of Washington’s WWAMI program, earning her medical degree in 2018. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Utah, followed by a prestigious fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the University of Michigan.

Today, Dr. McLaughlin is a gynecologic oncologist with Compass Oncology in Portland, Oregon, where she specializes in cancer surgery, chemotherapy, and advanced cancer-directed treatments. Outside of her clinical practice, she enjoys reading, skiing, hiking, and adventures with her husband and two children.
